Namo, taking refuge and repenting before the Buddhas of the ten directions, / I vow to eradicate the roots of all transgressions. / Now taking the good deeds cultivated over time, / I dedicate them as the cause of peace and bliss for myself and others. / I constantly vow that when everyone approaches the end of life, / superior conditions and superior states will all manifest before them. / May we behold Amitābha, the Lord of Great Compassion, / Avalokiteśvara, Mahāsthāmaprāpta, and the Honoured Ones of the ten directions. / Looking up in contemplation to the divine light, receiving the extended hand, / mounting the power of the Buddha's vows, may we be born in that land. / Having repented, dedicated merit, and made aspirations, with a sincere mind I take refuge in Amitābha Buddha.
