弟子發願時（大樂），願住五臺山（大樂），
文殊菩薩聞心地（菩薩子），普賢菩薩座華臺（大樂）。
弟子發願時（大樂），願作華嚴經（大樂），
花嚴信處品（大樂），心王菩薩在中間（大樂大樂）。
弟子發願時（大樂），願作涅槃經（大樂），
涅槃佛性海（菩薩子），早證涅槃山（大樂大樂）。
弟子發願時（大樂），願作藥師經（大樂），
藥師十二願（菩薩子），願願度眾生（大樂大樂）。
弟子發願時（大樂），願作觀音經（大樂），
觀音勢至力（大樂），苦處在先登（大樂大樂）。
弟子發願時（大樂），願作無量經（大樂），
經中十六觀（菩薩子），三昧自然成（大樂大樂）。
弟子發願時（大樂），願作佛前燈（大樂），
照經并照像（菩薩子），得照師僧（大樂大樂）。
弟子發願時（大樂），願作佛香燈（菩薩子），
燈香供養佛（大樂），度取有緣人（大樂）。
弟子發願時（大樂），願作七寶池（大樂），
池中有賢聖（菩薩子），總是往生人（大樂大樂）。

When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to dwell on Mount Wutai (Great Melody),
Where Bodhisattva Mañjuśrī hears the mind-ground (Child of Bodhisattva),
And Bodhisattva Samantabhadra sits upon the flower terrace (Great Melody).
When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to produce the Avataṃsaka Sūtra (Great Melody);
In the "Chapter on the Abode of Faith" of the Avataṃsaka (Great Melody),
Bodhisattva Citta-rāja sits in the center (Great Melody, Great Melody).
When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to produce the Nirvāṇa Sūtra (Great Melody);
In the ocean of the buddha-nature of nirvāṇa (Child of Bodhisattva),
May I swiftly realize the mountain of nirvāṇa (Great Melody, Great Melody).
When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to produce the Bhaiṣajyaguru Sūtra (Great Melody);
Through the twelve vows of Bhaiṣajyaguru (Child of Bodhisattva),
Vow after vow delivering sentient beings (Great Melody, Great Melody).
When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to produce the Avalokiteśvara Sūtra (Great Melody);
By the power of Avalokiteśvara and Mahāsthāmaprāpta (Great Melody),
Ascending first to places of suffering (Great Melody, Great Melody).
When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to produce the Sūtra of Immeasurable [Life] (Great Melody);
Through the sixteen contemplations within the sūtra (Child of Bodhisattva),
Samādhi is naturally accomplished (Great Melody, Great Melody).
When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to be a lamp before the Buddha (Great Melody),
Illuminating sūtras and illuminating images (Child of Bodhisattva),
Able to illuminate masters and monks (Great Melody, Great Melody).
When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to be the incense and lamp for the Buddha (Child of Bodhisattva);
With lamps and incense making offerings to the Buddha (Great Melody),
Delivering people with whom there is an affinity (Great Melody).
When this disciple makes vows (Great Melody),
I vow to be the pond of seven jewels (Great Melody);
Within the pond are worthy and noble ones (Child of Bodhisattva),
All of them persons reborn there (Great Melody, Great Melody).
