2.90

上品上生行願強，無邊化佛自迎將，
寶殿金臺登初地，衣裓盛華遍十方。
上品中生義入微，臨終聖眾喚西歸，
五色雲中千佛引，紫金臺座八音隨。
上品下生慧性明，端心迴心學無上，
五百如來齊授手，恒沙菩薩捧華迎。
中品上生齋戒功，即得三明及六通，
紅蓮紫蓮空引攝，天樂迎魂入佛宮。
中品中生熏戒香，心清自覩王毫光，
一超便入無為會，七日華開見法王。
中品下生慈孝深，善友令生厭離心，
乘蓮託陰摩尼水，華裏唯開解脫音。
下品上生善種稀，能知三寶是歸依，
化佛來迎光滿室，華臺更伴彩雲飛。
下品中生黑業迷，因稱佛號免泥梨，
六劫華開方見佛，一生補處果還齊。
下品下生不善多，唯將十念棄娑婆，
雖住華間十二劫，見佛心開一剎那。

In the highest level of the highest grade, practice and vows are strong;
Boundless transformed buddhas come themselves to welcome and lead them.
Upon a jeweled palace and golden dais they ascend to the first bhūmi;
With flowers gathered in their robes, they travel throughout the ten directions.
In the middle level of the highest grade, understanding of the meaning enters the subtle;
At the end of life, the assembly of sages calls them to return to the west.
Amidst five-colored clouds, a thousand buddhas lead the way;
Upon a dais of purple-gold, eight tones of celestial music follow.
In the lowest level of the highest grade, the nature of wisdom is luminous;
With upright minds they dedicate themselves, studying the unsurpassed.
Five hundred Tathāgatas together extend their hands;
Bodhisattvas countless as Ganges sands hold flowers to welcome them.
In the highest level of the middle grade, through the merit of fasting and the precepts,
They immediately attain the three clarities and the six supernormal powers.
Red and purple lotuses guide and receive them through the sky;
Heavenly music welcomes the spirit into the Buddha's palace.
In the middle level of the middle grade, perfumed by the fragrance of precepts,
With purified minds they spontaneously behold the King's ūrṇā-radiance.
In a single leap they enter the unconditioned assembly;
In seven days the lotus opens, and they behold the Dharma King.
In the lowest level of the middle grade, filial piety and loving-kindness run deep;
A good friend causes them to produce the mind of revulsion and renunciation.
Borne upon a lotus, conceived in the maṇi-waters,
Within the flower they hear only the sounds of liberation.
In the highest level of the lowest grade, seeds of goodness are sparse,
Yet they can recognize the Three Jewels as their refuge.
Transformed buddhas arrive to welcome them, light filling the room;
The flower-dais flies accompanied by iridescent clouds.
In the middle level of the lowest grade, bewildered by dark karma,
Because they recite the Buddha's name, they escape Niraya.
After six kalpas the flower opens and only then do they behold the Buddha,
Yet their fruit is equal to that of an ekajāti-pratibaddha.
In the lowest level of the lowest grade, unwholesome deeds abound;
Solely by means of ten recitations do they abandon Sahā.
Although they abide within the flower for twelve kalpas,
When they behold the Buddha, the mind opens in an instant.
