往生淨土懺願儀 1.18

1.18

（當更添香，如前䠒跪，執香爐，端意勤重，遍請三寶來入道場，不可輕率延屈至尊，當，須三業併切，一心奉請。若不爾者，虛請無益。各想一一如來，隨其方面，領諸眷屬，入我道場，如住目前，畟塞虛空，不得剎那起於雜念。但初八日迎請，餘時不用。首人唱云：）

(One should add more incense, kneel upright on both knees as before, hold the incense burner, and with an upright mind, earnest and grave, universally invite the Three Jewels to enter the bodhimaṇḍa. One must not lightly or casually summon the Supreme Honored Ones; one's three karmas must be simultaneously earnest as one reverently invokes them with a single mind. If it is not so, the invitation is in vain and of no benefit. Each practitioner visualizes each Tathāgata, according to their respective direction, leading all their retinue and entering our bodhimaṇḍa, as if abiding right before our eyes and filling empty space; not for a kṣaṇa may distracting thoughts arise. This welcoming and inviting is performed only on the initial eighth day, and not used at other times. The leader chants:)
