師問杏山：「如何是露地白牛？」山云：「吽吽。」師云：「啞那。」山云：「長老作麼生？」師云：「這畜生。」

The Master asked Xingshan, "What is the white bull on the open ground?" Shan said, "Moo, moo!" The Master said, "Are you mute?" Shan said, "What about you, Elder?" The Master said, "This beast!"
