師問雲居：「大闡提人殺父害母、出佛身血、破和合僧，如是種種，孝養何在？」居云：「始得孝養。」自爾洞山許為室中領袖。

The Master asked Yunju, "When a great icchantika kills his father, harms his mother, sheds the Buddha's blood, and breaks the harmony of the Saṅgha—with all such things, where is filial piety?" Ju said, "Only then is filial piety attained." From then on, Dongshan acknowledged him as the foremost disciple of his inner room.
