上堂曰：「有一人，在千人萬人中，不背一人，不向一人。爾道此人具何面目？」雲居出云：「某甲參堂去。」
Ascending the hall, he said: "There is a person who, among thousands and tens of thousands of people, turns his back to not a single person, nor faces a single person. Tell me, what kind of face does this person possess?" Yunju came forward and said: "I am going to the monks' hall."
