上堂云：「天親菩薩無端變作一條楖𣗖。」拄杖乃劃地一下云：「塵沙諸佛盡在這裏說葛藤去。」便下座。

Ascending the hall, he said: "Bodhisattva Vasubandhu for no reason turned into a staff." Then with his staff he drew a line on the ground and said: "The dust-and-sand buddhas are all here expounding entanglements." He then stepped down from the seat.
