師有時云：「若問佛法兩字，東西南北七縱八橫，朝到西天暮歸唐土。雖然如此，向後不得錯舉。」
The Master sometimes said, "If you ask about the two words 'Buddhadharma', east, west, south, north, freely in all directions, reaching the Western Heavens in the morning and returning to the land of Tang in the evening. Even though it is so, henceforth do not quote it wrongly."
