或云：「是爾師僧在江西湖南所在過夏，衣鉢分付什麼人了來？」代云：「不是瞞却一人來。」又云：「不作大人相。」

On another occasion he said, "You monks pass the summer in various places in Jiangxi and Hunan; to whom did you entrust your robes and bowls before coming?" Answering on their behalf, he said, "It is not that we deceived a single person to come." He also said, "Not assuming the guise of a great person."
