2.421

一日云：「作麼生是提婆宗？」代云：「西天令嚴，此土還較。」或云：「汝道何物具四德。」代云：「死猫兒。」又云：「把不具底來。」

One day he said, "What is the school of Deva?" Answering on their behalf, he said, "In India the orders are strict; in this land there is still some leeway." Or he said, "Tell me, what thing is endowed with the four virtues?" Answering on their behalf, he said, "A dead cat." He also said, "Bring forth what is not endowed [with them]."
