師有頌云：「理極忘情謂，如何有喻齊，到頭霜夜月，任運落前谿，果熟猿兼重，山長似路迷，舉頭殘照在，元是住居西。」

The Master had a verse, which said:
"The principle, at its utmost, forgets conceptual thought; / How could any metaphor equal it?
In the end, the moon of a frosty night / Falls at ease into the stream before us.
As fruits ripen, the monkeys grow heavier; / The mountains stretch long, as if the path were lost.
Raising my head, the lingering sunlight remains— / It was originally to the west of where I abide."
