上堂云：「天已明，僧已到，性惺惺，斷煩惱。爾道：斷煩惱即是？不斷即是？」

Ascending the hall, he said: "The sky is already bright; the monks have already arrived. The nature is awake; afflictions are cut off. Tell me: is cutting off afflictions right, or is not cutting them off right?"
