上堂云：「雷驚蟄戶，萬物發萠，杲日當軒，人心不昧。為什麼？無眼人不照，且道過在什麼處？」

Ascending the hall, he said: "Thunder startles the hibernating insects, and the myriad things sprout. The bright sun is over the eaves, and the human mind is not deluded. Why is it that the sightless person is not illuminated? Tell me, where does the fault lie?"
