靈雲因問出家才，驢使前行馬使來，長慶不明真實地，句中認影影難開，余今報爾諸禪侶，九衢杲日照香街。

"Lingyun, due to an inquiry, showed the talent of one who left household life: / 'The donkey courier goes ahead, the horse courier comes.' / Changqing did not understand the true and real ground; / Recognizing shadows within the words, the shadows were hard to dispel. / I now report to all you companions of Chan: / On the nine crossroads, the bright sun shines upon the fragrant street."
