良遂座主初參麻谷，谷見來便去鋤草。良遂到，谷都不顧，便歸方丈，閉却門。良遂三日後去參，纔扣門，谷云：「阿誰？」云：「和尚莫謾良遂，若不來禮拜和尚，泪被經論賺過一生。」谷乃開門相見。

When Lecturer Liangsuixi first came to see Magu, Magu saw him coming and immediately went to weed the grass. When Liangsuixi arrived, Magu paid him no attention at all, returned to his Abbot's quarters, and shut the door. Three days later, Liangsuixi went to visit him again. As soon as he knocked on the door, Magu said, "Who is it?" Liangsuixi said, "Venerable Sir, do not deceive Liangsuixi! If I had not come to pay homage to the Venerable Sir, I would have been led astray all my life by the scriptures and treatises." Magu then opened the door and met with him.
