「文殊普賢，觀音勢至，滿心十地，彌勒慈尊，一生補處。為什麼却擔柴著火，荷眾苦辛，憨癡不辨，掃地放牛，喫人殘食，亡身盡命，絕世超倫，出生入死，具甚道理？」代云：「渾。」

"Mañjuśrī, Samantabhadra, Avalokiteśvara, and Mahāsthāmaprāpta; the tenth-ground Bodhisattvas of fulfilled mind; and the Compassionate Honored One Maitreya, bound to one final birth—why did they instead carry firewood and kindle fires, endure myriad hardships, act silly and indistinguishable, sweep floors and tend cattle, eat other people's leftover food, give up body and exhaust life, transcend the world and surpass peers, leaving birth and entering death? What principle does this embody?" Replacing [the original words], he said, "Indivisible whole."
