「亘古亘今，都來是一法，前佛後佛為什麼用不盡？」代云：「便棒。」

"Throughout all antiquity and all present, all in all it is just one dharma; why could neither earlier Buddhas nor later Buddhas ever use it up?" Replacing [the original words], he said, "Straightaway give a blow of the staff."
