「鐘鈴螺鼓聲，琴瑟箜篌聲，與驢鳴狗吠，是同是別？」代云：「鳥飛空中，不雜空色。」

"The sounds of bells, chimes, conches, and drums, the sounds of zithers, harps, and lutes—are they the same as or different from the braying of a donkey and the barking of a dog?" Replacing [the original words], he said, "A bird flies in the sky, not mixing with the color of the void."
