「如拳作手，如手作拳，展縮自由，不因他力，過在什麼處？」代云：「朝打三千，暮打八百。」

"Like a fist forming a hand, like a hand forming a fist, extending and retracting freely without relying on other power—where does the fault lie?" Replacing [the original words], he said: "In the morning, beat [him] three thousand [times]; in the evening, beat [him] eight hundred [times]."
