人來面壁坐顒顒，不話多般說異同，親切不教心外覓，免將明暗諕盲聾，秋霜博地生寒暑，魯祖垂慈不用功。

When someone comes, he sits facing the wall, dignified and solemn; / He does not speak manifold words explaining differences and sameness. / So intimate, he does not let them seek outside the mind, / Avoiding scaring the blind and deaf with light and dark. / Autumn frost covers the ground, generating cold and heat; / Luzu bestows compassion without exerting effort.
