「雲門問僧：『什麼處來？』云：『禮塔來。』門云：『□我。』云：『某甲禮拜去來。』云：『五戒也不持。』」代云：「彼此鈍置。」

"Yunmen asked a monk: 'Where have you come from?' He said: 'I came from paying homage at the stūpa.' Yunmen said: '[You deceive] me.' He said: 'I went and made prostrations.' Yunmen said: 'You do not even uphold the five precepts.'" Replacing [the monk's words], he said: "Both of us are put at a disadvantage."
