兩堂上座未開盲，猫兒各有我須爭，一刀兩段南泉手，草鞋留著後人行。

The senior monks of the two halls had not yet opened their blind eyes; / Each claiming the cat, 'I must contend.' / Severed in two with a single blade by Nanquan's hand; / The straw sandals were left behind for later people to walk in.
