3.100

混世人難測，權作採樵夫，訪道尋知識，慇懃捨俗愚。親得黃梅旨，疎看白玉書，負石舂糠志，酬恩行不孤。

Mingling with the world, he was hard for people to fathom, / provisionally acting as a woodcutter. / Visiting the Way, he sought good spiritual friends, / earnestly shedding worldly foolishness. / Personally attaining the purports of Huangmei, / he paid little heed to texts of white jade. / Bearing stones with the resolve to hull chaff, / repaying kindness, his practice was not in vain.
