我有牧童兒，長年百不作，日出向光明，天晴入巖谷。溪水洗牛頭，嬾草蔽牛脚，從他萬象昏，我心長寥廓。

I have a cowherd boy / Who all year long does not do a hundred things. / When the sun rises, he faces the brightness; / When the sky clears, he enters rocky valleys. / Mountain streams wash the ox's head; / Soft grass covers the ox's feet. / Let the myriad phenomena be murky as they will, / My mind is ever vast and empty.
