3.55

壽嶽南臺，寶月長開，隱一箇圓明大象，顯三句炟爀崔嵬。爍電之機，愚迷罔措，或展拓而出沒太虛，或收攝而針關難度。一淳道者，無鑑藥於言詮，千學之徒，有機關於語路。或雷驚於宇宙，聖凡路絕；或指示於乾坤，群靈普入。有生有殺，無匿無私，麗水之真金不重，塵途之瓦礫非輕。如天普蓋，似地普擎，孤窮之子歸家，錯判之徒共爭。歷歷落落，撈撈摝摝，滿滿兮十方世界，蕩蕩兮六道空廓。實不思議，正宗難墜，祖祖相傳，佛佛授記。阿呵呵，莫瞌睡，歌頌既彰，分明道理。頌曰：「爍電機，已早遲，碧眼胡，莫揚眉。大海龍，小水龜，壽嶽聳，日月低。虎豹奔波走，師子吼全威，正宗長不朽，邪徒勿強為，是非都不管，真箇法王兒。」

At the Southern Terrace of the Peak of Longevity, the precious moon is ever disclosed; / concealing a single, perfectly bright great elephant, / revealing three blazing and towering phrases. / The dynamic of flashing lightning leaves the foolish and confused at a loss; / now expanding and emerging across the Great Void, / now contracting so that even the eye of a needle cannot pass. / A single pure person of the Way has no mirror-medicine for words and explanations; / a thousand students possess mechanisms along the road of speech. / Sometimes thunder shocks the universe, cutting off the paths of sacred and profane; / sometimes pointing to heaven and earth, the myriad spirits all enter. / There is giving life and there is killing, without concealment or partiality; / the true gold of the Li River is not heavy, / the rubble along the dusty road is not light. / Universally covering like heaven, universally upholding like earth; / the solitary and impoverished son returns home, / while those who judge mistakenly dispute together. / Distinct and clear, scooping and dredging, / filling the worlds of the ten directions, / vast and expansive, the six realms are utterly empty. / Truly inconceivable, the correct lineage is difficult to let fall; / patriarch transmits to patriarch, Buddha confers prophecy upon Buddha. / Aha, haha! Do not nod off! / The song and praise being already manifest, the principle is clear. / The verse says: / “The dynamic of flashing lightning—already too late; / blue-eyed barbarian, do not raise your eyebrows. / Great ocean dragon, small water turtle; / Mount Shou towers high, the sun and moon are low. / Tigers and leopards scurry about; / the lion roars with full authority. / The correct lineage is forever uncorrupted; / let depraved followers not force their way. / Caring nothing for right or wrong, / truly a son of the Dharma King.”
