夫論師者，擊鐘樓上，立義場中，縱奪臨機，斥呵當勢。聳四無礙之雷辯，掩千萬類之鼓音，邪正雙驅，有無互起，奪赤幡于手內，鞭白骨於階前，高建法幢，廣摧異見，非若馬鳴龍樹之威，豈敢當鋒者矣。

As for the Treatise master: striking the bell upon the tower, he establishes propositions within the arena; yielding and seizing according to the moment, he reproaches in the face of momentum. He raises the thunderous eloquence of the four unhindered knowledges, eclipsing the drumming sounds of tens of millions of kinds; heterodox and orthodox are both driven away, existence and non-existence mutually arise. Seizing the red banner from within the hand, whipping the white bones before the steps, he establishes high the Dharma banner and broadly smashes divergent views. Were it not for the majesty of Aśvaghoṣa and Nāgārjuna, who would dare to face his vanguard?
