西天二十八，東土為第一，親承迦葉宗，得法波羅蜜。六眾已調伏，三化早周畢，震旦果芬芳，遍界金光出。

Twenty-eighth in the Western Heavens, / he was the first in the Eastern Land. / Personally receiving the school of Kāśyapa, / he attained the Dharma pāramitā. / The six assemblies he had already subdued; / the three conversions were early completed. / In China the fruit was fragrant, / golden light emerging throughout the world.
