師乃云：「鶴勒那空中變現，曼拏羅指地為泉，德山會下光前絕後，臨濟門前祇得一邊。」良久云：「作麼生是那一邊？」下座。

The Master then said: "Haklenaya transformed manifestations in the air; Manorhita pointed to the ground to make a spring. In the assembly of Deshan, he surpassed the past and cut off the future; before the gate of Linji, one obtains only a single side." After a long pause, he said: "What is that single side?" He descended from the seat.
