上堂，云：「凡聖情盡，體露真常，但離妄緣，即如如佛。雖是古人殘羹餿飯，有多少人不能得喫？黃龍與麼舉，失利也不少。還有人檢點得出麼？若檢點得出，便識佛病祖病；若檢點不得，陝府鐵牛吞乾坤。」擊禪床，下座。

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "When ordinary and sacred sentiments are exhausted, the essence reveals true constancy; simply departing from deluded conditions, one is immediately the tathatā Buddha. Although this is leftover soup and spoiled rice of the ancients, how many people are unable to eat it? Huanglong's bringing it up like this also brings no small loss. Is there anyone who can examine and check it out? If you can examine and check it out, you will recognize the sickness of the buddhas and the sickness of the patriarchs; if you cannot examine and check it out, the iron ox of the Shan Prefecture swallows heaven and earth."
