登山須拄杖，渡水要行船，有客開顏笑，無愁展脚眠。
萬般存此道，一味信前緣，試比紅塵裏，清虛直幾錢。

To climb a mountain one must have a staff; / To cross water one needs a boat. / When a guest arrives, break into a smile; / Free of sorrow, stretch out your legs and sleep. / In myriad circumstances maintain this Way; / With a single taste trust in former conditions. / Try comparing it with within the red dust: / How much is pure emptiness worth?
