脩竹喬松積翠陰，綠楊紅蘂遍園林，到頭須讓西湖水，
淡靜還如君子心。

Tall bamboo and lofty pines pile up emerald shade; / Green willows and red blossoms fill the parks and groves. / In the end, one must yield to the waters of West Lake: / Placid and still, they are just like a gentleman's heart.
