There was a Daoist nun who entered the mountain to pay homage and requested him to ascend the hall. He said: "The Dao that can be spoken of is not the eternal Dao—truly laughable! Heng'e embroidering mandarin ducks all through the night knows how to handle the golden needle to present her subtlety. Compared with Old Huangmei, how clumsy his descendants are! Nowadays each and every mouth talks wildly; asked about a tortoise, they call it a soft-shelled turtle. Today Simian makes a clean break for you to resolve it—how can it be cleared away? Foes, foes! Do not stick out your tongues behind people's backs!"
