Ascending the hall, he said: "Pinching earth into gold is still easy; changing gold into earth is on the contrary difficult. Transforming the ordinary into the noble is still easy; transforming the noble into the ordinary is on the contrary very difficult. Why? Who is willing to humble their honor and condescend to the lowly? But tell me, how do you say a phrase that is neither ordinary nor noble?" He then said, "One must not corrupt other people's sons and daughters."
