上堂舉：「雪峯示眾云：『盡乾坤是箇解脫門，把手拽不肯入。』一僧云：『和尚怪某甲不得。』一僧云：『用入作什麼？』」師云：「三箇中有一人受救在，忽若總不辯明，平地上有甚數？」便下座。

Ascending the hall, he brought up: "Xuefeng instructed the assembly, saying: 'The entire heaven and earth is a gate of liberation, yet grabbing them by the hand and dragging them, they refuse to enter.' One monk said: 'The upādhyāya cannot blame me.' Another monk said: 'What is the use of entering?'" The Master said: "Among the three, there is one who is being saved. If none of you discerns this clearly, on level ground, what can you count for?" He then stepped down from the seat.
