舉：「雲門大師云：『盡十方世界乾坤大地，天下老和尚。』以拄杖一畫云：『百雜碎。』」師云：「者老漢，是即是，要且未有出身之路。如今拄杖在雪竇手裏。」復橫按云：「東西南北甚處得來？」

He cited: "Great Master Yunmen said, 'The heaven and earth and the great earth of the worlds throughout the ten directions, the old upādhyāyas under heaven—' drawing a line with his staff, he said, 'a hundred shattered pieces.'" The Master said, "This old fellow—it is right, but nevertheless he has no way of getting out. Now the staff is in Xuedou's hands." Again holding it horizontally, he said, "East, west, south, north—from where did it come?"
