2.35

有臾機宜太孤絕，冷澹情懷止金鐵，游歷不知參訪誰，曾道天無第二月。近聞鎖斷奔馳問，何物拈來固其本，飛騰直上三十三，見不見兮為君困。中巖藏晦亦枯槁，年光休競七十九，南北東西追古風，時有其人繼其後。

In a brief moment, the dynamic functioning is utterly solitary and transcendent; / His cool, tranquil disposition stops gold and iron. / Traveling about, not knowing whom he visited and studied with, / He once said that the heavens have no second moon. / Recently I heard he locked away and cut off rushing questions; / What thing can be picked up to secure its root? / Soaring directly up to the Thirty-Three [Heavens], / Seeing or not seeing, I am troubled on your behalf. / Zhongyan, concealing his brightness, is also withered and dry; / Do not compete with time at seventy-nine years of age. / South, north, east, and west, pursuing the ancient style; / At times there is someone to succeed him.
