3.19

舉：「無業馬祖，僧問：『如何是佛？』云：『莫妄想。』」師云：「塞却鼻孔。又問：『如何是佛？』云：『即心是佛。』」師云：「拄却舌頭。」

He brought up: "A monk asked Mazu Wuye, 'What is the Buddha?' He said, 'Do not have deluded thoughts.'" The Master said, "Plugging up his nostrils!" "He also asked, 'What is the Buddha?' He said, 'Mind itself is Buddha.'" The Master said, "Prop up your tongue!"
