4.44

有時云：「髑髏常千世界，鼻孔摩觸家風，拈却別致一問來。」代云：「祖師遺下。」又云：「儞若龜頭鼈頭，向後道親見翠峯好。」代云：「何必。」

At times he would say: "A skull of constantly a thousand worlds; the family style of nostrils touching—set these aside and bring forth a different question!" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "Left behind by the patriarchs." He also said: "If you act like the head of a turtle or the head of a terrapin, later on you can say you personally met Cuifeng." Speaking on their behalf, he said: "Why must that be?"
