5.64

石本落落，玉自碌碌，古之今之，一何𧬜速。師子不咬麒麟，
猛虎不食伏肉。君不見，洞庭孤島煙浪深，
木馬追風有人識。

Stones are naturally distinct and rugged; jade is inherently common and smooth;
Ancient times and present—how swiftly they pass!
The lion does not bite the qilin;
The fierce tiger does not eat lying meat.
Do you not see that on the solitary island in Dongting the misty waves are deep,
Yet there is one who recognizes the wooden horse chasing the wind?
