迢迢別海涯，帆掛杪秋時，島樹落寒葉，人誰訪祖師。
浪開遊象急，天闊過鴻遲，早晚歸林下，千徒不共知。

From far away you take leave of the sea’s edge, / Raising your sails at the end of autumn. / On island trees, cold leaves fall; / Who among men will visit the patriarch? / Waves part as the swimming elephant is swift; / The sky is vast as passing wild geese are slow. / Sooner or later, you will return beneath the grove, / Unknown to a thousand followers.
