6.270

涪江怒激鯨鼇宅，岌岌三山大傾側，冥數俄然一箇來，
步武群方作禪客。振聲謂我分綱宗，
今兮古兮何怱怱，今吾強為抉辭句，句句字字凜凜生狂風，
拂散四七單傳之落葉，掃蕩二三直指之流蓬，
似帶微芒，敢未勦絕。寒木在握兮全機可笑，
秋水橫按兮半提可滅，
使八極頂目者不自爭衡，見斯人兮駕御昂枿。

The Fu River churns fiercely around the dwelling of whales and turtles; / Precarious and towering, the Three Mountains teeter and tilt. / Suddenly, from the dark reckoning, one individual emerges, / Stepping across the various realms to become a Chan guest. / Raising your voice, you tell me of dividing the lineage principles; / In present and past, how hurried it all is! / Today, I force myself to pick out phrases and lines: / Each line and each word severely gives rise to wild winds, / Sweeping away the fallen leaves of the separate transmission through the four and seven patriarchs, / Clearing away the drifting tumbleweeds of the direct pointing through the two and three patriarchs. / As if bearing a faint glimmer of light, how could I dare not cut them clean off? / Wielding the cold wood, the total dynamic is laughable; / Laying the autumn water across the lap, half a demonstration can extinguish it, / Causing those with the crown-eye across the eight extremities not to vie for supremacy on their own, / When they behold this person driving onward in towering vigor.
