4.131

When Yantou, Xuefeng, and Qinshan were sitting together, Dongshan brought tea. Qinshan closed his eyes. Dongshan said, "Where did you go and come back from?" Qinshan said, "I entered samādhi and came back." Dongshan said, "Samādhi fundamentally has no gate; where did you enter from?" A senior venerable said on his behalf, "Many people understand it this way." Alternatively: "At that moment, he should just have pointed to Yantou." Xuefeng said, "Give these two dozing fellows tea to drink."
