Spring rain drizzles, spring wind howls;
Moving or still, it does not wait for time to come forth.
Clouds and rosy mists at ease and tranquil form its nature;
Cold and bleak gold and iron serve as its bones.
Those who know me say I walk high beyond the world;
Those who do not know me say I look down upon this one cavern.
The Way roams freely following each quarter, passions melt the fetters and shackles;
A staff of purple chestnut eight feet long, ten thousand peaks of green mountains.
Walking, walking, ponder the ancient saying that nothing is permissible and nothing is impermissible:
South, north, east, west—only I alone.
