上堂云：「一毫穿眾穴，大地沒遮欄，遍界不曾藏，古今無向背。剎剎爾、塵塵爾，句句爾、念念爾，還明得麼？若明得去，不費纖毫力，直入解脫門。絕承當一句作麼生道？」喝一喝，下座。

Ascending the hall, the Master said: "A single hair pierces through myriad apertures; the great earth has no barrier. Throughout the realm it has never been hidden; throughout past and present it has neither front nor back. Thus in every land, thus in every speck of dust, thus in every phrase, thus in every thought. Do you still understand it? If you understand it thoroughly, without expending a hair's breadth of effort you will enter directly through the gate of liberation. How do you utter a phrase that transcends all undertaking?" Giving a shout, he stepped down from the seat.
