15.48

即心即佛，已是八字打開；非心非佛，重向當陽點破。不尋其言，一直便透，方見古人赤心片片；若也躊蹰，則當面蹉過也。

"Mind itself is Buddha" is already to lay everything wide open; "neither mind nor Buddha" is again to puncture it directly in plain daylight. Do not pursue the words; penetrate straight through, and only then will you see the piece-by-piece sincere heart of the ancients. If you hesitate, you will miss it right before your face.
