18.30

大用不拘，今古楷模，倒拈蝎尾，平捋虎鬚，若非深辯端倪，何以坐觀成敗？俊處穎脫囊錐，高來卷舒方外，孤峯頂上浪滔天，正令當行百雜碎。咄！

"Great function is unrestricted; / A model for past and present. / Turning backward to seize the scorpion's tail, / Plainly stroking the tiger's whiskers. / If one does not deeply discern the subtle clues, / How could one sit and observe success and failure? / At the sharp point, the awl breaks through the bag; / Rising high, it rolls up and unfurls beyond the square. / On the solitary mountain peak, waves surge to the heavens; / When the true command is put into effect, everything is smashed to bits! / Bah!"
