鸞膠續斷絃，猊血化驢乳，從來不為人，今古參佛祖。箭既離絃無返回，將欲奪之必固與。語時默，默時語，人從陳州來，却往許州去。

"Luan-bird glue reconnects the broken string; / Lion's blood transforms donkey's milk. / Never having been for people, / Through past and present it consults buddhas and patriarchs. / Once the arrow has left the bowstring, there is no turning back; / In order to seize it, one must certainly grant it first. / Speaking during silence, silent during speech— / A person comes from Chenzhou, / Yet heads off toward Xuzhou."
