19.31

舉：「僧問藥山：『平田淺草，麈鹿成群，如何射得麈中麈？』山云：『看箭。』僧便放身倒，山云：『侍者拕出這死漢。』僧便起走，山云：『弄泥團漢有什麼數？』」

[Yuanwu] brought up [the case]: "A monk asked Yaoshan, 'On the level field and shallow grass, the stags and deer form herds; how can one shoot the stag of stags?' Yaoshan said, 'Watch the arrow!' The monk threw his body down. Yaoshan said, 'Attendant, drag out this dead fellow!' The monk then got up and ran away. Yaoshan said, 'What does this mud-ball-juggling fellow count for?'"
