2.22

上堂云：「雲騰致雨世界索然，日照天臨乾坤廓爾，文殊堂裏萬菩薩縱然顯現，晴是晴，雨是雨，山是山，水是水。阿那箇是萬菩薩？風暖鳥聲碎，日高華影重。」下座。

Ascending the hall, [the master] said, "Clouds rising bring rain, and the world is bleak; the sun shines from the sky, and heaven and earth are wide open. Even if ten thousand bodhisattvas appear in Mañjuśrī's hall: sunshine is sunshine, rain is rain, mountains are mountains, waters are waters. Which one is the ten thousand bodhisattvas? / The wind is warm, bird songs are scattered; / The sun is high, flower shadows are dense." He stepped down from the seat.
